Canandaigua Daycare is a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility opening soon, and we are looking for a passionate and driven Business Administrator to be the operational backbone of our organization. This is a unique ground-floor opportunity to build systems, shape culture, and grow with us from the very beginning.

As our Business Administrator, you will be more than just a manager; you will be a key leader ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant operation of our daycare, allowing our educators to focus on what they do best: nurturing the children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

· Financial Management: Oversee all bookkeeping, budgeting, billing, and payroll. Manage tuition payments and vendor relationships.

· Enrollment & Marketing: Manage the enrollment process, maintain waiting lists, and serve as a primary point of contact for prospective and current families. Develop and implement local marketing strategies to build occupancy.

· Office Operations: Maintain all child and staff files, ensuring strict confidentiality and compliance with NYS OCFS licensing regulations.

· Human Resources: Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and serve as a supportive HR liaison.

· Family & Community Relations: Foster positive, professional, and trusting relationships with parents and the Canandaigua community.

Who You Are:

· You have 2+ years of experience in office management, business administration, or a similar role. Experience in a childcare setting is a significant plus.

· You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient with software like QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.

· You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and professional demeanor.

· You understand the importance of confidentiality and have a strong sense of integrity.

· You are a self-starter who is excited by the challenge and reward of building something new.
