Jensen/BRV Engineering, PLLC is a consulting engineering firm that specializes in providing expert

structural engineering services for the building, design, and construction industry for over 35 years.

We are currently looking to expand our team.

Project Structural Engineer

This position is classified as salaried, exempt.

The hiring salary range for this role is :

$75,000- $85,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications.

Summary/Objective:

Jensen/BRV is seeking a Project Engineer with 3-6 years of structural engineering experience

related to Buildings. The candidate will coordinate structural engineering design with other design

team members, provide input to the Project Manager regarding project planning and scheduling of

project components and milestones, and keep clear records of all design decisions, calculations,

and project related documentation. Work will include the design of foundations and superstructure

framing, computer modeling of structural systems, preparation of structural drawings, field

investigations, and construction administration tasks. Available option of Hybrid work.

Responsibilities

· Structural design and analysis for a wide range of building projects involving steel,

concrete, masonry, and wood.

· Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.

· Conduct site investigations to document existing conditions and/or construction progress.

· Coordinate between multiple disciplines to ensure a fully integrated design (architects,

geotechnical engineers, MEP engineers).

· Review contract submittals.

Required Skills and Experience

· Bachelor of Science Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (with a focus on Structures

preferred). Master’s degree a plus.

· E.I.T. required; P.E. license a plus.

· Minimum three (3) years of experience in a structural engineering role.

· Proficiency with computer analysis software (e.g. RISA, Tekla Structural Designer)

· Knowledge of concrete, steel, masonry, and wood design standards, as well as local and

national building codes required (e.g. IBC, ASCE, ACI, NYSBC)

· Knowledge of standard construction practices and ability to work with contractors to

address construction issues.

· Working knowledge of Revit and/or AutoCAD

· Good communication skills, team orientated, and ability to multitask.

· Ability to work independently on tasks.
