Position Overview:
Swan Family of restaurants is seeking a skilled and creative Catering Chef to join our team. As a Catering Chef, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing culinary offerings for a variety of events, ranging from corporate gatherings to weddings and private parties. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, along with strong leadership abilities to oversee kitchen operations and ensure exceptional culinary experiences for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
-Food Preparation: Prepare high-quality dishes according to recipes, ensuring taste, presentation, and consistency meet company standards.
-Execution of Events: Oversee food production during events, ensuring timely delivery, proper plating, and adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
-Team Leadership: Manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and supervision to maintain a productive and efficient kitchen environment.
-Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food and supplies, placing orders as needed to meet event requirements while minimizing waste.
-Budget Management: Work within budget constraints to maximize profitability without compromising quality or client satisfaction.
-Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of food preparation and service areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
-Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility in responding to last-minute changes and client requests, ensuring seamless execution of catering services.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Chef or Catering Chef, with a strong background in culinary arts and event catering.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and food safety regulations.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team and interact with clients and vendors.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
Attention to detail with a focus on quality, presentation, and customer service.
Culinary degree or certification from a recognized culinary institute is preferred.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
