Part-time Line Cook Needed for Historic Event venue
Elegant, historic event venue and Wine Bar looking for a part-time line cook. Located in the village of Fairport, The Deland House on Main is known for its beautiful decor and culinary offerings. Come join our small but mighty team and help in making our guests’ special events even more memorable!
Candidates should have flexible scheduling and be available to work some weekends and nights depending on the event schedule. Scheduled hours will likely be a minimum 20 per week. This will expand with experience on the job.
Starting wage at $18.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Catering /event experience preferred
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed
- Culinary Skills to assist with meal preparation, including knife skills, sauté etc
- Some baking interest or baking experience would be welcome
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with the Chefs to ensure efficient and timely food production
Requirements:
- Food handler or ServSafe certified
- Previous experience in food service or culinary field
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Some stair climbing may be required.
