Here are the hours we are looking to fill, ASAP:
Fridays: 10 AM - 5 PM.
Saturdays: 10 AM - 9 PM
Sundays: 10 AM - 9 PM (these hours may change over time).
We live in Penfield, NY.
We have need for a CARING, CONSCIENTIOUS, COMPASSIONATE, PERSONABLE, ETHICAL, and RESPONSIBLE, "full-time" and "part-time" FEMALE, ENGLISH-SPEAKING caregiver for a female family member who has dementia, and lives in her own home.
She is ambulatory with a walker, but tires easily, and uses a wheelchair to and from appointments. She needs assist with all activities of daily living, including dressing, getting up/going to bed, potty breaks, showering, and watching while she eats and takes her medications. She needs reminders to put her feet up and stay hydrated (examples).
Our family member's care is covered by Medicaid.
This means that we are looking for someone who is agreeable to go through the Medicaid process to be certified as a Medicaid-eligible care giver.
This includes a background check.
You need to be willing to become Medicaid certified (quick process), and go through their background check.
Medicaid also pays for our family's member transportation to appointments by personal taxi. The caregiver accompanies to every appointment.
You need to be able to arrange this transport by calling in advance to set it up.
