Seeking patient and attentive home health care aides through a CDPAS agency to assist an individual in the 14612 area. Flexible hours are available, coverage is currently needed for morning and evening hours. Morning hoursstarting between 7:45 to 8:30am. Evening hoursstarting around 6 to 7pm. No experience required, but must be able to follow directions, must remain a calm level headed professional in the face of adversity. $17.64/hour with holiday bonus pay, No overnight shifts.
The patient requires daily care, and hours are assigned as appropriate to the caregiving dynamic. Hours will be quite standard from week to week once the caregiving team is in place. There is also a need for fill in caregivers, as caregivers have lives too.
Responsibilities:
- Assist and enable with ADL's such as med reminders, bathing, grooming, teeth brushing and dressing.
- Perform light housekeeping duties: sweep, mop, vacuum, bathroom duty, laundry, and dishes.
- Meal planning and prep.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Doesn't live "too far away" for shorter or urgent shifts when needed. (a person local to 14612 would be ideal)
- Available and appropriate for community engagement.
Qualifications:
- Reliable transportation required. (please be transparent if you do not drive or own a cara car is not necessary)
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
- Shows initiative and asks about things that seem to be off.
- Ability to remain calm and patient in all situations.
- Accommodating and understanding of patient allergies (i.e., no perfumes, un-cleared cleaning supplies, some food items).
- Okay with big dogs.
- Provide excellent references.
- Willingness to complete CDPAS on-boarding paperwork including medical screening paperwork with your Dr, including two PPDs, the second of which is seldom covered by health insurance.
