91 year old woman in independent living needs help

I am one of the caregivers in the team caring for Mary and I am looking for some good co-workers: if you are interested in working flexibly, anywhere from 5-50 hours per week at a pay rate of 17 dollars per hour (26 time and a half on major holidays or for hours worked over 40/week), then feel free to reach out to me. The caregivers we are looking out for should also contribute to a non-judgemental team. We are there to support one another! Please email me your name and contact information and better times to reach you. Compensation is through CCOR. You just have to get a physical at an urgent care and fill out a scant amount of paper work as well as do a telephone interview and go in once to the office of CCOR Rochester. You punch in and out using an app or the tablet they have provided Mary.

Affectionate, intelligent, playful Mary has lived an adventurous life of service to others. She has been on the stage, before the camera, a mother, championed women's and institutionalized persons' rights, and still feels strongly that women need to honor one another. Even though Mary is a feminist she also loves men and all children are wonderful in her book. She has reached the age of 91 and now she needs the service she so willingly offered others.

She is now at an independent living facility in Henrietta (15A) that invites caregivers to be present up to 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, to care for residents who need it. And it's hard to find good caregivers these days. You should be willing to learn how to help people with dementia by dividing all tasks up into tiny little steps and being chill and clear and in Mary's case affectionate. Mary was/is pretty intelligent, just needs you to fill in both sides of the conversation to a certain extent.

Care giving within the context of an independent living facility comes with the support of a community of elders (many of whom suffer no dementia), and the friendly staff, clean new facilities, breakfast and dinner in the dining room, and organized social and cultural activities. The apartment even gets cleaned each week. Mary can see very well and her hearing is good with her hearing aids in.

The house work is light, but you do need to be able to stoop over or kneel down a bit. Right now there is a need for individuals to work between 2pm-8pm every day of the week. 8pm-8am nightly Friday through Sunday, and all daytime hours Friday through Sunday are available.
