Datrose is seeking an experiencedHuman Resources Generalist for an excellent temporary assignment (W2 Only) opportunity in Rochester, NY! This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual.

Description/Responsibilities:

The HR Generalist will report to the Sr. HR Business Partner and have responsibility to support the HR Business Partners in the administration of HR initiatives, programs, policies and procedures with a professional level of partnership to employees and managers.

Implements and supports human resource programs by providing human resources services, including performance management, employee relations and engagement, talent acquisition, and other activities in support of the business goals.

Partners with Senior HR Manager to ensure compliance with personnel policies and procedures.

Participates in the interview process to determine suitability for position

Assists with annual open enrollment period as needed

Advises supervisors, managers, and employees on consistent application of established policies and practices.

Communicates policy changes or clarification as needed.

Effectively partner with other HR resources to provide the highest level of service to assigned managers and employees.

Supports the performance appraisal process.

Acts as liaison between management and employees in an attempt to resolve work-related disputes.

Assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.

Prepares reports and other data as needed.

Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

Stays abreast of changes in laws, case law, regulations, policies, and programs relevant to employee relations and employment practices.

Participates in compliance investigations.

Completes special projects and other duties as required.

Required Skills:

Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or a related field.

5+ years of professional experience in human resources principles, practices and procedure including knowledge of US employment law and government compliance (ADA, EEO, FLSA, AAP, etc.).

Demonstrated experience in administration of human resources programs.

Intermediate computer and technology skills required (e.g. MS Office Suite, Applicant Tracking Systems).

Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.

Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

Pragmatic problem-solving ability and ability to work independently. Orientation to team based work. Collaborative results-driven approach.

Experience in presenting and training of employee groups.

Strong organizational and analytical skills; detailed/results oriented.

Passion for learning and applying new processes, tools and technology.

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and complex entrepreneurial environment and with limited supervision or direction. Ability to exercise effective judgment and sensitivity to changing needs and business situations.

Strong interpersonal skills and (preferably) at various levels of an organization. Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.

Strong planning and organization skills.

Demonstrated initiative in continuous learning in the HR field.

Working knowledge of HR SAP, HRIS Systems highly desired.
