Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Maintenance Technician’s to join our team. The Asphalt Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the repair, maintenance, and construction of asphalt surfaces. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in asphalt maintenance, including patching, sealing, crack filling, and other related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform asphalt maintenance tasks such as patching, sealing, crack filling, and pothole repair.
Operate and maintain asphalt maintenance equipment including but not limited to asphalt pavers, rollers, seal coating machines, and crack sealing equipment.
Prepare surfaces for asphalt repair by cleaning, sweeping, and applying appropriate materials.
Assist in the layout and marking of asphalt surfaces for repair or construction.
Mix and apply asphalt materials according to specifications and safety guidelines.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of asphalt materials and supplies.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and team members.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work activities and ensure project deadlines are met.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in asphalt maintenance or construction preferred.
Knowledge of asphalt materials, tools, and equipment.
Ability to operate asphalt maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and specifications.
Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
Willingness to Work weekends and overnights
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.
