Job description:
We are looking for dependable and hardworking Snow Sidewalk Technicians to join our snow and ice management team for the winter season. This role is responsible for keeping sidewalks, walkways, and building entrances clear and safe during snow and ice events. Key Responsibilities
Clear snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, stairways, and building entrances using shovels, snow blowers, and other equipment
Apply ice melt, salt, or sand as needed to ensure safe walking surfaces
Respond promptly to snow events (early mornings, nights, weekends, or holidays as needed)
Work independently or as part of a snow crew under the direction of a supervisor
Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition
Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Report site conditions, hazards, or equipment issues to supervisors
Qualifications
Must be reliable and available during snow events (on-call availability required)
Ability to work outdoors in cold and snowy conditions for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Prior snow removal or maintenance experience preferred but not required
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of de-icing materials and application rates
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and tight timelines
