Lattice Materials, a national leader in silicon crystal growth and product manufacturing is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer.
In a fast-paced, problem solving, team environment, the Manufacturing Engineer streamlines processes, reduces waste and addresses manufacturing issues associated with production of company products.
Duties include developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of customer specifications, materials, fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment capabilities and quality control standards. Leads continuous improvement efforts by working with management and production staff to identify areas of improvement and methodically resolving issues through data gathering, problem resolution, implementation, measurement and improvement methods.
Successful candidates will have the following skills:
Bachelors degree in Engineering with an Optics emphasis; and related Optics manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in lean manufacturing and six sigma strongly preferred
SolidWorks, GibbsCam, AutoCAD experience a plus
Planning experience preferred
Highly organized with ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Forward-looking, detail oriented and accurate
Flexible to meet time demands of a fluctuating product line
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Mechanical aptitude
Successfully pass pre-employment drug test
