POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for PFISTERER North America, Inc. Quality Assurance and Environmental, Health and Safety and serve as the Quality Management Representative. Responsible for monitoring inspection and testing of incoming, in-process and finished products. Recommend necessary corrective actions to ensure conformity with quality and testing specifications and standards. Be management’s conscience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:
1. Quality Management System control and maintenance, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
2. File and track certifications associated with the aforementioned ISO’s.
3. Track customer feedback, classify issues raised, root cause analysis, propose remedial actions to reduce customer complaints.
4. Monitor the inspection and testing of production and experimental units.
5. Monitor the inspection and testing of all components used in production.
6. Oversee specialized employee training.
7. Ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws.
8. Lead the Health & Safety Committee, and ensure full compliance with all applicable OSHA and other health and safety regulations; file and track any associated certifications.
9. With the support of product engineering, maintain accurate product routings and product structures.
10. Maintain accurate actual and estimated production standards.
11. Perform internal and participate in external audits, as applicable.
12. Prepare and administer departmental budget.
13. Liaise with corporate QA/QM as local representative.
14. Other duties as assigned by the President.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
1. BA degree in Quality Engineering or equivalent. Associates degree in quality or related field is acceptable depending on experience.
2. Minimum of 5 years experience in a combination of Quality/Industrial Engineering preferred
3. Experience with environmental, health and safety regulations and applying them in an industrial environment.
4. Writing skills for; project reports, work instructions, policies and procedures.
5. Computer skills for; statistical analysis, reports, and record keeping.
6. Understand and are able to apply statistical techniques.
7. Understand sampling plans for use in inspection.
8. Internal and external quality audit skills.
9. Meeting and time management skills.
10. Ability to travel internationally
OTHER RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
1. Certified lead assessor for ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
2. Facilitator/team training.
3. Statistical Process Control techniques.
4. Equipment calibration techniques.
5. ASQ certification.
6. Evaluation of product loss data.
7. Thorough knowledge of product specifications, i.e.; ANSI, IEC, IEEE and EEMAC.
8. Vendor evaluation.
