Help Wanted: ERS dispatcher for large towing company in Rochester, NY
Our ideal candidate is an experienced dispatcher with the following strengths:
Proven dispatch experience in a transportation, towing or trucking dispatch environment
Extensive area knowledge Monroe County
Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties in a fast paced environment as a dispatcher
Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills
High energy level and sense of urgency
Training is available for the right prospect.
REQUIREMENTS:
Client Service oriented professional with experience handling client complaints and problem solving in a transportation, Towing or trucking dispatch environment
Solid computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook and ability to master new programs quickly
Strong communication skills and client support telephone experience
Unmatched, precise attention to detail
Ability to anticipate and identify potential service and logistical issues by understanding the big picture and all the details
High school diploma or educational equivalent
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answer incoming calls to dispatch department
Communicate with drivers and clients by radio and telephone
Update dispatch logs, spreadsheets and systems
Monitor the vehicle and driver grid
Schedule and dispatch drivers and vehicles based on workload
Establish rapport with drivers
Maintain a close working relationship with the sales and fleet departments
This is a full time position in out main office on Marketplace Drive. Pay rate is hourly, dependent on experience. 401K with a company match and paid vacation benefits are available after vested.
