B&G Foodservice Equipment & Supplies is a distributor of commercial kitchen equipment, food storage supplies and kitchen tools. We at our Rochester branch are in search of an additional person for deliveries to our customers and warehouse work.
Monday - Friday typical scheduled hours are between 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. but might have some days that extend up to approximately 60 - 90 minutes beyond standard hour days, depending on length of deliveries for those days. Does not require weekend hours.
Common duties and qualifications for this position include:
- Delivery of equipment & supplies using our company vehicles, including preparation of equipment and supplies for customers' purchases.
- Ability to lift heavy boxes of approximately 25 - 50 lbs.
- Ability to drive an extended van and 18 ft. Box Truck with automatic Lift Gate.
- Deliveries typically within radius of 100 miles from our Victor warehouse, but include some company transfer trips to our Albany warehouse.
- Valid NY State Drivers License is required along with a clean driving record.
- CDL License is NOT a requirement, but a plus if you have this.
- Customer service in speaking with customers to handle certain requests and teamwork skills amongst co-workers.
- Experience with handheld tools, drills, pallet jacks, etc. is a plus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Assistance with receiving equipment into our warehouse from manufacturer deliveries to B&G.
- Assistance with keeping warehouse neat and in order.
- Most deliveries are to schools, colleges, restaurants, pizzerias, government agencies and country clubs.
