If this description speaks to you, continue reading about the opportunity of Protective Services Officer. This is a Full Time 40 hours/week position, available for Days & Evening shifts, including weekends and holidays. Will cross train between the Meadows and the Home.

Position Summary:

Has the responsibility to promote safety and provide protection to life and property of those who live and work at St. Johns.

Qualifications & Education Required:

 High School Diploma or GED

 NYS Security Guard license or NYS Security Guard certification required

 Valid NYS drivers license with ability to meet agency driving standards.

 Current CPR AED certification preferred but must be attained within four weeks of hire.

 Basic computer knowledge

 One year of experience in the security field. Experience in a health care setting preferred

 Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services

 Willingness to embrace and exemplify St. Johns Brand Characteristics

Position Responsibilities:

 Perform foot and vehicle patrols of parking lots

 Respond to PERS System

 Perform job tasks as directed by the supervisor, including daily log sheets including incident reports required, when needed.

Physical Requirements:

 Walking, running, lifting (as much as 75 lbs.), pushing (as much as 250 lbs.), climbing stairs.

Exposure to Conditions:

 May be exposed to infectious diseases. Exposed to physical aggression
