If this description speaks to you, continue reading about the opportunity of Protective Services Officer. This is a Full Time 40 hours/week position, available for Days & Evening shifts, including weekends and holidays. Will cross train between the Meadows and the Home.
Position Summary:
Has the responsibility to promote safety and provide protection to life and property of those who live and work at St. Johns.
Qualifications & Education Required:
ï· High School Diploma or GED
ï· NYS Security Guard license or NYS Security Guard certification required
ï· Valid NYS drivers license with ability to meet agency driving standards.
ï· Current CPR AED certification preferred but must be attained within four weeks of hire.
ï· Basic computer knowledge
ï· One year of experience in the security field. Experience in a health care setting preferred
ï· Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
ï· Willingness to embrace and exemplify St. Johns Brand Characteristics

Position Responsibilities:
ï· Perform foot and vehicle patrols of parking lots
ï· Respond to PERS System
ï· Perform job tasks as directed by the supervisor, including daily log sheets including incident reports required, when needed.
Physical Requirements:
ï· Walking, running, lifting (as much as 75 lbs.), pushing (as much as 250 lbs.), climbing stairs.
Exposure to Conditions:
ï· May be exposed to infectious diseases. Exposed to physical aggression
