Zoom Tan has an immediate need for a Full Time Area Carpenter to support the Rochester and surrounding districts.
We are seeking a passionate, driven, detail-oriented Carpenter to provide standard maintenance and hands on assistance in our retail locations. The ideal candidate must have the ability to adapt to our business model and has demonstrated independent facility construction/maintenance experience in the past.
The primary responsibility of this position is the overall repair and renovation of our facilities. You would be responsible for taking the lead on projects, work with contractors, other sites, and divisional contacts on new and existing projects.
This position generally works Monday through Friday 8-5, with availability for emergency repairs and special assignments as needed. Activities and duties may vary depending upon site-specific needs.
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:
Complete work order requests in support of facility operations.
Must possess broad skills in various building trades (Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC) as well as a broad mechanical aptitude.
Duties include building repair and project work relating to store initiatives.
Position Responsibilities:
Carpentry: door replacement, cabinet modifications, renovations, and improvement projects.
Electrical: lamp changing, light fixture repair & installation.
Basic building repairs: framing, painting, wall repairs, flooring repairs, etc.
Perform other duties as required.
Other Skills & Reasoning Ability:
Requires continuous use of gross motor skills, near/far vision, color definition, hearing, and speech.
Requires frequent standing, walking, lifting to 50 pounds, carrying to 25 pounds, eye/hand coordination, stepping up and down, climbing up to 20 feet from the floor.
Use of fine motor skills, work in difficult and confined spaces, pushes, pulls, or manual dexterity.
Must maintain a 3-year clear MVR as the position includes the use of a company vehicle.
Must pass pre-employment background check.
