Overview:
Dunn Tire is looking for experienced Automotive Technicians to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a hard-working, goal-oriented individual who has a strong desire to provide great customer service and who is determined to repair a vehicle correctly on the first visit. The primary role of our Automotive Mechanic is to inspect, diagnose and repair cars and light trucks.

General Description
Under the direct supervision of the Store Manager, intakes service tickets to repair, monitor and service all vehicles that come into the store.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supports Sr Technicians in diagnostics
Thoroughly inspect vehicles for necessary repairs and regular maintenance
Completes brake alignments, maintenance, timing belts, struts, fluid changes, coolant flushes and other service/maintenance related tasks
Utilize computer-based applications for automotive related information
Competently and clearly communicate information to Service Manager
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Install new products, and test them to ensure they are working correctly
Educating the client on how to use and maintain their device
Perform maintenance and provide customer support
Diagnose problems and come up with solutions to repair them
Order parts needed for repairs if needed
Fill out detailed reports and keep records on services that have been performed
Explain issues with equipment and repairs to customers
Build and maintain relationships with customers
Qualifications
ASE Certifications are preferred, but not required
NYS Inspectors License preferred, but not required
Must have your own tools
Work Days
Our technicians work on a five day work week. Our typical work week averages 42-45 hours.
Work Hours
Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be necessary.
