HVAC Technician – Residential & Commercial

About the Role
Staffworks Group is seeking an experienced and reliable HVAC Technician to join our growing team in Rochester, NY. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for both residential and commercial clients. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates clearly, and provides excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
Install, service, and repair residential & commercial HVAC systems (furnaces, boilers, AC units, rooftop units, ductless systems, etc.)
Diagnose equipment issues and recommend solutions
Perform preventive maintenance and seasonal tune-ups
Install and troubleshoot thermostats, controls, and related components
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Communicate with customers to explain work performed and answer questions
Maintain accurate documentation of all work completed
Work independently and as part of a team
Participate in on-call rotation as needed
Qualifications
2+ years of HVAC experience (residential and/or commercial) preferred
EPA 608 certification required
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
Experience with RTUs, chillers, boilers, mini-splits
Sheet metal fabrication
Electrical troubleshooting
NATE certification
Plumbing or refrigeration background
