Req Number 141649Job Description:Responsible for performing varies clerical duties regarding patient experience, for the office manager and physicians on staff.Job Responsibility:
Greets, screens, and directs patients to exam rooms.
Performs patient intake including medical history, medications, and history of present illness.
Prepares and processes correspondence and answers routine medical administrative inquiries.
Performs medical receptionist duties as necessary. Answers telephone, screens calls, takes messages, and provides information.
Obtains, verifies, and updates patient information and provides support services to patients and medical staff.
Prepares exam room and patient for physical examination by physician.
Prepares patient face sheet to facilitate billing and any required follow up care, including diagnostic testing.
Assists in the dispensing of durable medical devices (DME) under the direction of the physician.
Applies DME to patients, and provides patient education on use and benefit of DME.
Varying shifts between the hours of 7:30am and 8pm
1-2 late nights required (11:30am-8pm)
Rotating weekend shifts required (1 weekend day/month)
Job Qualification:
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED). Diploma as a medical administrative assistant from an accredited medical vocational course preferred.
Minimum one year of relevant experience working in a medical facility or related field.
Minimum one year experience in customer service or reception, preferably in a health care environment.
