Join our dedicated team that's been helping communities across New York City for almost 150 years and see just how big of a difference you can make.$3000 SIGN-0N BONUSIF YOU JOIN US, YOU'LL HAVE THESE GREAT BENEFITS:Generous vacation time, in addition to paid agency holidays and 15 Sick DaysAffordable and high-quality medical/dental/vision plansTuition assistance and educational loan forgivenessFree continuing education opportunities403(b) retirement benefits and a pensionFlexible spending accounts for health and transportation24/7 Accessible Employee Assistance ProgramLife and disability insuranceDiversity, equity, and inclusion working groups that are available for you to join, including Confronting Structural Racism (COR), Coalition Against Anti-Semitism (CAAS), and the LGBTQ Steering CommitteeABOUT THE JOBThe Family Team Conference (FTC Coordinator) schedules and tracks required conferences for programs and facilitates conferences that are not facilitated by ACS.The purpose is to assist the team to make quality decisions related to child safety, well-being and permanency.In addition, the facilitator provides support to program staff and families.FTC Coordinators work with multiple borough-based programs.KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Engage participants in non-ACS facilitated Family Team Conferences.Facilitate conferences to help participants reach consensus.Participate in debriefing meetings immediately folowing FTCs.Ensure all conference particpants sign Summary and Action Plan Following conferences.Coordinate with program staff and families the scheduling of FTCs and re-scheduling for missed and or cancelled meetings.Scheduling separagte conferences for suspected or known DV batters or victims.Identify whether a family hgas limited profiency, and make arrangements for Lanuguage Interpretation Services if necessary.Maintain a tracking log for requested and completed FTC facilitations.Float within designated borough to provide FTC facilitation services to multiple programs.Conduct FTCs according to ACS protocaol and FTC model.Review the family history in CONNECTIONS and hard case record prior to the FTC.Consult with Case Planner/Therapist about any unresolved questions and/or concerns after case review of the documentation prior to the FTC.Provide In-home and office FTC facilitation as necessary.Review and identify external child welfare resources and community linkages.Use conferences to model effective strategies for engagement, assessment and problem solving when appropriate.Attend agency and ACS trainings and meetings.Use knowledge of different types of FTCs and EBMs(e.g. high, medium, low) to make referral recommendations.Work collaboratively with team members on challenging issues to resolve barriers or to develop effective interventions.Utilize knowledge about ACS standards and protocol in helping team to arrive at safety, well-being and permanency decisions.Other duties as assigned.EDUCATIONAL / TRAINING REQUIRED:Master's degree and License in Social Work, (LMSW, LCSW preferred) or Mental Health Counseling (LMHC) and a minimum of 18 months of experience with children and families preferably in a child welfare setting.-OR-Master's degree without a license with 5 years of work experience in a child welfare setting.-OR-Bachelor's degree with 5 years of work experience in a child welfare setting.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED / LANGUAGE PREFERENCE:Bilingual/Bicultural Spanish.Knowledge of motivational interviewing family systems theory, and/or trauma-informed care.
