Client's GEIS (Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions) Division is currently seeking a CNC Machine Set-Up Consultant to join our team. This position is based at our Syracuse, NY facility. As a CNC Set-up Consultant, you will educate employees in the best practices for machining parts and set-up procedures to drive productivity in the department. A successful candidate will provide support and train CNC Operators in proper set-up and operations of CNC equipment and assist with the inspection of equipment as needed. Key Responsibilities: Guide and support operators through set-ups and train them as needed. Support Training Coordinator with documenting set-up procedures and standard work for various machines in the CNC departments. Partner with union employees to train and coach them on proper procedures. May be required to assist operators in the day-to-day troubleshooting of CNC equipment to improve machine output. Assist in the development of training documents to include video recording of procedures as needed. Review operator run procedures to identify productivity improvement opportunities. Facilitate classroom training sessions as needed.
