Description Nick Corieri with Robert Half is in search of a Director of Finance for one of his client companies located in the downtown area of Syracuse, NY. This role involves overseeing all financial and accounting operations, providing leadership and strategic planning within a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities: Develop and implement financial goals and priorities, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Supervise ongoing accounting and box office functions. Generate financial reports, reconciliations, and settlements. Oversee accounting systems, manage the organization of accounting files, and prepare routine reports. Ensure compliance with all contractual provisions and manage risk in collaboration with the risk management department and insurance brokers. Review contracts with clients, vendors, and subcontractors. Oversee cash flow, investments, and procurement of assets and supplies. Produce financial statements for internal and external stakeholders. Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, and expense records. Analyze financial performance and costs, providing recommendations for improvement. Prepare monthly and annual financial reports. Conduct internal audits and coordinate the preparation of audit materials and financial reports. Implement recommendations from audits and manage accounting procedures and controls. Review financial statements with management and manage union labor contract administration. Maintain a positive working relationship with union representatives and serve as Manager on Duty as needed.For immediate consideration, please apply to this job posting and contact Nick Corieri from the Syracuse branch of Robert Half.Requirements A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Demonstrated expertise in all Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proven skills in Auditing Familiarity with Budget Processes Knowledge of D365 is a plus Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Exceptional leadership, management, and communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
