BSA is a partnership between Battelle and The Research Foundation for the State University of New York on behalf of Stony Brook University.ORGANIZATION OVERVIEWThe High Energy Theory Group (HET) has active programs in many areas of theoretical particle physics, with strong efforts in neutrino physics, Beyond the Standard Model phenomenology, precision calculations for the LHC and intensity frontier, overlaps of particle physics and cosmology, and lattice gauge theory. There are also new efforts in quantum entanglement and in Electron Ion Collider (EIC) physics.POSITION DESCRIPTION In order to strengthen our future efforts, the HET Group expects to have a Postdoctoral Associate position available on or around October 1, 2025. We invite applications in any of the areas in which the group is active. In this role the selected candidates will collaborate with group members in performing original theoretical physics research in precision calculations for the LHC, beyond the standard model phenomenology, neutrino theory, the interplay of particle physics with cosmology or lattice gauge theory. This research is expected to be published in scientific journals and be presented at major conferences.
