Req Number 131791Job DescriptionDelivers direct nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse. Adheres to Facility policies and procedures and regulatory agency requirements and standardsJob Responsibility1.Administers nursing care under direct supervision to assigned residents.2.Provides hygienic care to residents and oversees/assists with activities of daily living.3.Reports observations and unusual conditions of residents to registered nurse.4.Prepares unit, resident rooms and resident beds for receiving admissions, transfers and emergencies.5.Provides care as necessary to assure resident's physical/mental comfort.6.Takes vital signs of residents assigned and reports abnormal values to the nurse in charge.7.Performs Grade I decubitus care; performs preventive skin care measures through turning, positioning and heel elevation techniques at appropriate intervals.8.Transports residents to and from units under the direction of RN and in accordance with transfer technique policies and procedures.9.Assist in and accompanies resident in the admission, discharge and transfer and transport procedures, while assuring comfort.10.Prepares residents for meals and helps feed them as assigned and in direct accordance with ORZAC's feeding techniques per policy and procedure.11.Provides constant observation for residents requiring increased security to prevent harmful behavior.12.Collects specimens, labels properly and transports to area in a timely manner.13.Maintains a safe and clean environment for residents. Washes equipment and participates in ensuring that work areas are clean.
