Description Our client in the White Plains, NY area has an opening for a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will manage various accounting tasks, such as preparing journal entries, analyzing accounts, and managing financial records. This position is 3–4-month consulting engagement. Responsibilities: Efficiently process journal entries and perform month-end closing accounting tasks. Take ownership of various monthly processes including but not limited to revenue and cost of goods sold, customer deductions, and asset account review and reconciliation. Assist with the financial reporting processes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, including support and file preparation, consolidation, and SEC filing process. Research and explain monthly operational account variances for areas of responsibility and conduct operating expense analytics. Coordinate and assist with external auditors on a quarterly and year-end basis as needed. Develop systems for the maintenance of financial records, leveraging current technologies. Reconciliation of balance sheets and bank accounts. Utilize accounting software tools like Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Excel, and NetSuite.
