Cloud Network Engineer

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Cloud Network Engineer. The role involves working remotely while managing cloud assets and setting up an internal network. The industry is primarily focused on cloud networking with a minor focus on traditional networking. The location for this position is Asheville, North Carolina.Responsibilities: Handling the migration and organization of Azure assets. Establishing an internal network to ensure seamless operations. Utilizing Microsoft Defender for firewall setup and maintenance. Manipulating servers and resources in the cloud to minimize downtime. Documenting all processes and procedures related to cloud management. Using Terraform and BluePrint for network management where necessary. Conducting regular network scanning and auditing to ensure optimal performance. Ensuring minimal downtime during cloud operations and network setup. Independently managing tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision. Ensuring all cloud management activities adhere to industry best practices. Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Defender Experience in managing and implementing firewall systems Familiarity with Terraform and Blueprint for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployments Knowledge of cloud management, including monitoring, scalability, and disaster recovery Ability to troubleshoot network related issues in a cloud environment Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field Relevant certifications in cloud technologies are preferred Willingness to stay updated with the latest advancements in cloud technologies.
