Mother Bakery & Café is hiring a full-time early morning baker. This shift begins at 3 am and requires a good amount of independence, so experience with this type of work and an early morning schedule are required. Role requires multitasking use of convection ovens and steam injected deck ovens to bake multiple varieties of sourdough breads based on a production list. This role is the final quality touch of our breads, so ownership and pride in work and the ability to assess proofing stage and troubleshoot any mix or shape issues from the previous day is essential. Additional responsibilities include : keeping a clean and tidy work space, anticipating needs of the mixers who arrive later in the morning to create landing places for their doughs, assist with any shaping as needed, communicate inventory and tool needs to leadership to ensure efficient operations. Pay is extremely competitive for bakers in the area.
