Key Responsibilities:
As a Lead Line Cook, you will work closely with the Head Chef and Kitchen Manager to ensure the highest standards of culinary excellence and operational efficiency. In addition to typical line cook duties, you will:
Maintain Product Quality: Conduct daily tastings to ensure our dishes meet our high-quality standards.
Manage Inventory: Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels daily to ensure a seamless service.
Mentor New Staff: Play a pivotal role in training and developing new kitchen team members.
Safety First: Ensure strict adherence to all food safety protocols and maintain a safe kitchen environment.
Procedural Excellence: Assist in maintaining and updating recipes and procedures for consistency.
Kitchen Hygiene: Contribute to the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, restaurant, office, and storage areas.
Skills Needed:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of line cook experience in a busy, full-service restaurant.
From Scratch Cooking: Prior experience with scratch cooking is preferred.
Passion for Learning: A strong desire to expand your culinary knowledge and continuously improve your cooking skills.
Cool Under Pressure: Ability to remain focused and even-tempered, even during the busiest of shifts.
Team Player: Willingness to collaborate as part of a tight-knit kitchen team.
