Part Time Vacation Rental Housekeeper
A local Vacation Rental Complex seeks a part-time housekeeper for regular weekly cleanings of 4-7 vacation rentals, all at the same location in Buncombe county (east Asheville area). All supplies are provided by the company. The schedule is mostly set for 2024 until December. A typical schedule is flexible and could consist of one to two longer days or three shorter days, typically Sundays to Wednesdays, with occasional needs on Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays. The months of January & February are slower.
Pay is by the house with typical compensation beginning at $25/hour and moving up to $30/hour with demonstrated cleaning excellence and efficiency. No laundry is required, just basic vacation rental turnover cleaning.
Typical cleaning consists of:
Clean and disinfect all countertops, mirrors, fixtures, tubs, and appliances
Dust all table surfaces, window-sills, ceiling fans, ceiling corners
Dust under furniture
Vacuum all surfaces
Mop all surfaces
Sweep outside areas and tidy outdoor furniture
Replace garbage and recycling bags, restock paper products and soaps
Report missing or broken items to property manager (with photographs)
Put away dishes/utensils
Check closets and drawers and couches for debris or missing items
The successful candidate will follow the company's cleaning checklist and be able to follow a process from beginning to end with focus and fluidity. They should be able to lift 40lbs at a time and be able to climb stairs, reach high and low with ease.
The houses on the property range in size and take from 1-3 hours to clean effectively, depending upon the house. An August schedule would consist of roughly 71 hours of cleaning for earnings of $1800-$2150 plus gratuities. This is a w-2 position, paid every two weeks.
