We are seeking an experienced and reliable Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team in the Hendersonville/Asheville area. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and/or commercial settings while ensuring all work is up to code and safety standards. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and control systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to determine wiring layouts and project specifications.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues to diagnose problems and determine necessary repairs.
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building regulations.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and components.
- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and contractors to explain work details and ensure satisfaction.
- Supervise and train apprentices as needed, ensuring all safety procedures are followed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times, adhering to all OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship program or trade school education.
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician (5+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
