We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electrician to lead our team of journeyman and apprentice electricians. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical systems and codes, as well as proven experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, particularly with high-voltage systems. This role requires strong leadership, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.

Job Summary

The Lead Electrician is responsible for leading a team of electricians, overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in compliance with all relevant codes and safety protocols. The role involves interpreting blueprints and schematics, managing project timelines, and ensuring the highest quality of workmanship.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of journeyman electricians and apprentices.

- Plan, schedule, and coordinate electrical projects to ensure on-time and on-budget completion.

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

- Read and accurately interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.

- Perform diagnostic tests on electrical systems and components to identify and troubleshoot issues.

- Ensure all work and installations strictly adhere to electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.

- Work proficiently with high-voltage electrical systems.

- Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance, repairs, and installations.

- Effectively communicate with clients and team members to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship program or trade school education.

- Proven experience as a qualified electrician, with experience working with high-voltage systems and prior supervisory experience.

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics.

- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations, including OSHA standards.

- Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical skills.

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
