Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will handle a variety of tasks in the accounting function of our industry, working closely with customers and vendors.Responsibilities Handle full-cycle accounts payable duties, including matching, batching, and coding invoices. Utilize accounting software systems, specifically JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, for efficient operation. Manage vendor communications and maintain strong vendor relationships. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in our financial operations. Utilize skills in accrual accounting to maintain financial records. Process payable invoices on a weekly basis to ensure timely payments. Implement automated clearing house (ACH) processes for efficient transactions. Perform account coding accurately to ensure proper allocation of costs. Manage accounting functions, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards. Monitor accounts payable, taking appropriate action when necessary. Requirements Proficiency in Account Coding is required. Experience with Accounting Software Systems is necessary. Must have a strong understanding of Accounting Functions. Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) is essential. Familiarity with Accrual Accounting is needed. Auditing experience is a plus. Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions is desired. Ability to manage Payable Invoices is essential. Should have experience with Weekly Account Payable. Proficiency in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is a must.
