Desktop Support Specialist

Description We're on the lookout for a talented Desktop Support Technician to strengthen our client's team. If you're proficient in Active Directory, Windows OS, Office 365 administration, and adept at troubleshooting hardware and software issues, we want to hear from you. As our Desktop Support Technician, you'll play a vital role in maintaining a seamless desktop computing environment, providing technical assistance to end-users, and ensuring our IT infrastructure operates at peak efficiency.

Offer technical support to end-users, resolving queries related to desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.

Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop operating systems, with a focus on Windows OS.

Manage and administer Active Directory services, including user account management, group policies, and security permissions.

Conduct Office 365 administration tasks such as user provisioning, email configuration, and license management.

Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktop computers and associated peripherals.

Collaborate with other IT teams to address and resolve complex technical issues effectively.

Maintain accurate records of support tickets, resolutions, and hardware/software inventory.

Assist in various IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.

Provide end-user training on best practices for desktop computing and software utilization.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.

Proven track record in a Desktop Support Technician role or similar capacity.

Strong command of Active Directory administration, encompassing user management and group policies.

Proficiency in Windows operating systems (Windows 7/10) and Office 365 administration.

Exceptional troubleshooting skills in both hardware and software environments.

Familiarity with network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or equivalent are advantageous.
