Job Title: Environmental ScientistJob DescriptionJoin our dynamic team as a Water Asset Manager, where you will be responsible for inspecting water asset valves, hydrants, meters, and water meter boxes for leakage. Using headphones and acoustic sensors, you will listen for leaks and notify the Project Manager of possible issues. Your role includes traveling to job sites, working outdoors in various weather conditions, and using phone apps for mapping. You will also manage non-revenue water recovery and control services, conduct safety meetings, and maintain equipment. This position requires travel, with potential assignments across multiple states, and offers long-term opportunities to progress into GIS-heavy roles or Project Management.Work SiteThis is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site and some remote days.Work EnvironmentThis role is based in Illinois- allowing for remote work when not on-site. You will report to the job site daily, working either 5 8-hour days or 4 10-hour days per week. Travel is required approximately 50% of the time, with assignments potentially lasting up to two weeks.
