Perform a wide variety of assembly tasks of both large (5 ton) and small (handheld) components onto generator rotors utilizing induction and industrial ovens for thermal shrink fits along with general industrial hand tools.
Interpret detailed drawings/sketches, blueprints, manufactures specifications, etc., and determines necessary tools to perform assembly / disassembly operations.
Using material handling devices (Jib & B/C cranes and forklifts), loads/unloads parts from machines and/or assists crane operator.
Follows Siemens established procedures to operate machinery and equipment.
General mental and visual attention is necessary when performing complex process operations to hold the close tolerances per drawing specifications.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

What You Bring
Must have high school diploma and have 1-3 years of industrial-mechanical-assembly experience
Ability to obtain fork truck and crane license. Prefer to have previous experience.
Proficiency with basic shop tools – grinders, sanders, drills, ratchet, wrenches, etc. and ability to choose optimal tool for task.
Ability to use basic shop math and precision measuring equipment.
Must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and PFT tests.
