IT Principal Architect

IT Principal ArchitectThe Information Systems Architect develops multiple types/categories of software architecture and operating systems for running end user applications. Working under minimal supervision, this job develops complex architectural guidelines, specifications and technical standards related to current and future end user requests. This job is considered a subject matter expert in the Information Systems Architecture field.Key Responsibilities and Duties

Executes complex architecture requirements analysis to convert end user needs into technical solutions.

Synchronizes systems design and technology constraints in accordance with compliance requirements.

Develops key capabilities and performance requirements when developing system architectures.

Creates technical specifications and standards for layered and multidimensional models.

Designs and implements solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems and applications across the enterprise.

Communicates the design of the technical architecture clearly too all stakeholders.

Implements complex data modeling and advanced project development of system architecture.

Educational Requirements

University (Degree) Preferred

Demonstrated experience as the application architect on many large projects

Demonstrated experience building, documenting and presenting conceptual, logical and physical architectural models

Demonstrated experience designing resilient and secure web service and messaging architectures, integrating on-premise and cloud systems

Advanced knowledge of application development design patterns, software architecture, systems integration concepts and frameworks

Advanced level programming experience in Java (Spring) and/or C# (.NET) or similar programming language

Has broad knowledge of current industry trends and developments and is considered a thought leader

Ability to quickly learn new vendor platforms and services for integration into existing systems and processes

Preferred Skills:

Experience designing and implementing automation using workflow, robotics, and low-code technologies

Experience designing and implementing application and service workloads in public cloud platforms

Working knowledge of tools and DevOps processes in support of source control, continuous integration, automated testing, and continuous deployment

Experience in the financial services industry

Relevant Software Development and Architecture Certifications

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors)
