About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer in the Application and Cloud Transformation (ACT) group’s Infrasturcture-as-Code team, within the Chief Technology Office (CTO) organization, supporting cloud computing technology, application modernization, and scaling modern tools and technology across the whole enterprise. These services are in support of the operability of all of Wells Fargo’s digital products and services across the world.This role will be in service of IaC tools and capabilities, responsible for the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of automation solutions, pipelines, feature enhancements, and the systems that enable the capabilities for users to consume.In this role, you will:

Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact

Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for automation needs and opportunities

Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs

Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors

Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals

Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Be responsible for executing upon feature requests, hygiene tasks, and new enhancements for automation or system enhancements within the IaC space

Establish additional standards and patterns alongside daily tasks involving Ansible automation or Terraform Enterprise automation deliverables

Focus on promoting applications and services that promote efficiency and cost savings

Integrate to cloud services providers such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform

Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers

Play an individual contribution as well as a team leader role in delivering on automation engineering stories and tasks

Expand upon developed and delivered products through cross-training/knowledge transfer to product software engineers and operations engineers, creating thorough documentation/other learning materials, and providing example user-specific application examples to the greater development community

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Systems and/or Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

5+ years of experience in automation tooling and engineering, utilizing Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and/or Salt

1+ years of one or more major Cloud Services Providers (CSPs) such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and their primary web service offerings

Knowledge and understanding of enterprise compute, networking, and storage systems

Experience working in an agile environment

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas

Knowledge and understanding of application and web security

Knowledge and understanding of security and systems automation
