Oracle / SQL Product Consultant
Charlotte NC or Atlanta GA (USDC)

Position Summary:

• The product consultant should have a good understanding of database infrastructure including Oracle and SQL Server database technologies and will work closely with engineering, operations and the application teams that use these products. They will create and manage database instance reports with specific inventory detail that line of business teams can leverage in order to understand and plan for migration impacts to their individual applications. The product consultant will own migration timelines and roadmaps in support of required migrations leading to the remediation/decommission of legacy Oracle Exadata and SQL Server bare-metal infrastructure. The candidate must be comfortable leading the migration program across multiple business lines and providing direct guidance to Oracle and SQL Server DBAs. While it is important to have a strong working knowledge of database products, this role does not require hands on technical expertise. As a consultant, you will be working under the supervision of experienced product managers.

• Database/ Network/ Server admin

• Oracle Exadata

• MS SQL Server

• Must have at least 5 years of experience involving the following skills:
• Experience working with enterprise database technologies including Oracle and SQL Server.
• Understanding of enterprise database infrastructure (i.e., Exadata, ZFS, and bare-metal database hosting).
• Managing software lifecycles including vendor end of support, database product upgrades and version management.

• Understanding of the financial services industry.
• Experience presenting technical material to executives.
• Technical program management experience.
• Ability to generate/maintain complex Excel reports.
• Experience generating/maintaining client surveys used for database migration tracking.
• Ability to maintain SharePoint program documentation
