Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant who will be a part of our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Sr. Accountant, your main role will be participating in the monthly and annual close and consolidation process, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our overall financial position. You will also engage in continuous process improvement efforts to streamline accounting processes and support new accounting and finance initiatives.Responsibilities Participate actively in the monthly and annual close and consolidation process, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all financial data. Prepare and post various month-end journal entries, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date. Conduct in-depth review and analysis of various income statement accounts, identifying any discrepancies or issues. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and research and correct any related accounting activity. Research and resolve the proper accounting treatment for transactions relevant to assigned areas of responsibility in accordance with GAAP and established company policies. Engage in continuous process improvement efforts to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency. Participate in the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Support new accounting and finance initiatives, including improving the statutory audit process and accounting for leases. Coordinate effectively with the external audit team to ensure all financial data is accurate and compliant with all relevant regulations. Handle any additional duties and responsibilities that may be assigned as requested.Requirements A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role. Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is required. In-depth knowledge of General Ledger and Journal Entries is mandatory. Demonstrable skills in utilizing Microsoft Excel for financial tasks and reporting. Experience with Month End Close procedures is essential. Familiarity with NetSuite financial software is necessary.
