Resident Motel manager couple to live on-site and manage small motel in a scenic mountain area near Asheville. Basic routine maintenance skills and basic office and computer skills required; training will be provided. Must be friendly and good with guests and able to handle issues on the fly.
Must have a good eye for a clean well-maintained property. Will be responsible for handling the reservation system, dealing with ordering supplies and dealing with vendors. Management of housekeepers and ensuring rooms are cleaned and ready is the most challenging aspect in the job.
An apartment on-site will be provided rent free along with all utilities. Compensation will also involve a commission that falls into the $40k range, but this can increase as you increase business.
Motel experience is not required but helpful. A couple is preferred as some days are very busy.
