Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Metal Saw Operator to join our metal fabrication team. This position plays a key role in supporting our production operations by safely handling raw materials, accurately cutting metal stock using band saw equipment, and maintaining an organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate band saws and/or other saws to cut metal to specified dimensions based on shop drawings and production requirements
Load and unload raw materials and finished goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand
Accurately measure, label, and stage cut material for various departments
Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance on saws and material handling tools
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company and OSHA standards
Read and interpret job tickets, cut lists, and blueprints as needed
Assist with inventory counts and material organization in the warehouse
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure job flow and quality
Qualifications:
Basic math and measurement skills, including reading a tape measure accurately absolutely required
Previous experience operating saws in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
Forklift experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
High school diploma or GED preferred
