Ideal candidates will have commercial maintenance skills/ experience including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, etc. This position is open to candidates who have recently graduated from trade school as well as candidates who have been in the field for years. Job Description: The Facility Maintenance Tech will be responsible for intermediate level work, as assigned by Plant Engineering Services leadership, necessary to maintain the service life of company assets such as physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, utilities and grounds in an operative and safe working condition.Top skill(s) :Related experience or training in 1 or more of the 4 trades (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC) on the commercial side.2.Responsibilities: (included but not limited to)- Responding promptly to emergency/non-emergency maintenance requests such as outages, floods, generator issues, ect.- Executing maintenance requests such as - fixing a wheel on a patient bed, repainting the walls, changing out electrical caps, replacing chipped flooring, hanging Tvs in patient rooms, unclogging patient sinks/replacing shower heads, fixing supply door locks, ect. - Maintaining accurate records of maintenance tasks, including dates, times, and details of the work performed- Adhering to safety regulations and industry standards to ensure a safe work environment.- Providing regular reports to the client, detailing the status of maintenance tasks and any issues that arise.- Ensuring equipment functions properly and meets performance specifications after preventive maintenance or troubleshooting tasks are completed.Must Haves: - Experience in HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing from a Commercial setting. (does not have to have experience in all aspects but must be willing to be trained in the unexperienced areas)- Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.- Ability to successfully apply customer satisfaction standards.- Knowledgeable in the use of a variety of hand and power tools used in facility maintenance.- Ability to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority.- Willingness to learn.- Valid driver's license required.- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.Additional skills preferred:- Broad knowledge of principles in design, operation, and repair of all types of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.- Broad knowledge of building codes, electrical codes, fire codes, and The Joint Commission standards for the Environment of Care.- Broad knowledge in reading and understanding blueprints and electrical schematics.Beacon Hill is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
