Join us.DescriptionA Continuous Improvement Technician in Clayton, NC supports Assembly with responsibilities associated with Continuous Improvement, SFMEA support, Time Studies for Standard Work, Tooling and other duties as assigned. May be required to work on production line when needed.Job duties may include the following:

Continuous Improvement projects.

SMFEA Support

Support Standard Work

Assist with resolution of Safety CI cards.

Provide tooling support to the line as needed including: Welding, Creform Creation and/or Machining.

Follows and utilizes CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work.

Self-motivated and self-starter.

Relies on independent decision-making and problem solving to complete job tasks.

Must meet deadlines.

Ability to multitask and prioritize work.

Provide support to the Manufacturing Engineers or Manufacturing Support 2 team members with Visual Instructions.

Utilizes systems such as MS Office, Team Center, Creo

Cross-functional communication to complete tasks.

Provide summaries to leadership.

Basic Qualifications

One year of manufacturing assembly experience

At least six months of welding experience

One year of power tool experience

Must possess basic skills in Microsoft Office

Reading technical drawings, blueprints or other instruction materials

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials such as metal, plastic, or composites

Intermediate level of proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in manual milling and turning

Intermediate level of proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) with CNC machines

Some experience in design software, such as AutoCAD, Pro E or SolidWorks

Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in recognizing or describing the mechanical functions and specifications of products and/or parts

Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in verbal and written communication skills

Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in the knowledge Standard Assembly tools and their applications

Further education (ex. apprenticeship program, trade certificate/diploma or degree from an accredited school or program)

Intermediate level of proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in MIG and TIG welding

Independent decision-making and problem solving to complete job tasks

Ability to multitask and prioritize work

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 35lbs regularly

Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly while on the shop floor

Ability to climb up and down stairs, platforms, and ladders on an occasional basis

Ability to sit, kneel, squat, or twist regularly

Ability to constantly stand and walk on concrete floors throughout the shift
