Warehouse - Maintenace, check bldg, dump water

This is a job in a huge 388,000 square foot building in High Point that I own. I have been doing this job myself and need somebody to take it over so I can focus more on the Thayercraft business. I have owned this huge building since 1996 and have done lots of work to it over the years but starting about 6 years ago 3 different groups have had it under contract to purchase the building. This third group has had a contract on it since September of 2023. We are in the closing stage but for one reason or the other they always have some reason not to follow through but have managed to keep the building under contract so I can't sell it to anybody else. With this as the reason the roof on one part in particular is in the shape it's in. They have plans to remove the roof, use the concrete floor on the third floor as the roof, and put this beautiful greenhouse type structure on top of it. This is just what they call building A. What the buyers have called building B is a building that I put new Modified roofing on back around 2000. It was not in that bad of shape 6 years ago when these different buyers started tying the building up. Roof on building B is deteriorating also but the buyers have their own plans for it so my hands are tied and I have to just keep dealing with the water that comes in it also. As you can see in the photos we have plastic catching the water underneath going to barrels or ibc tanks with drains on many. There are 12 or so barrels with no drain hoses that are on pallets that have to be dumped using a pallet jack taking to a fire escape door. There are also buckets scattered about you'd have to keep an eye on and lift to dump in barrels. And there is sucking up water from the floor with Shop Vacuums. I'm used to calling it Shop Vacs but the main one I use is a Ridgid HD1800. I have some advanced My-own-design ones adapted to barrels on buggies for the future. The other thing you'd be doing is checking all the doors in the building to made

sure they're locked. This is mainly for the 5 story building. So you're job is to check the doors in the building, keep a check on all the barrels and buckets, suck up any water on the floor and if you have any time left over just help me with shipping out fiberglass cloth. You cannot smoke in the building. That's how I know if thieves are in here. You have to have a clean criminal background. I don't care anything about minor tickets or stuff you did when you were young but if you just got caught for theft or something here recently don't bother answering this ad. This is not as hard of a job as it sounds. I've been doing it myself for quite a while and I'm 67. To sum up what you'd be doing - Checking the building to see if you see any signs of thugs getting in, check all the buckets and barrels and dump them if needed. Suck up all the water on the floors and dump those. If it's not raining and you need more work you can help take down light fixtures, clean around the steel posts, sweep, move rolls - lots of work. Pay is $20/yd with no other benefits - right now anyway. Hours are 830 am to 1230 pm Monday through Friday.
