Patient Care Tech

Under the direct supervision of licensed personnel, the Patient Care Technician will perform basic direct and indirect patient care duties in support of the treatment and care of patients. Reporting Relationship: Reports to: Nurse Manager QUALIFICATIONS: -Licensure Required; N.C. Nurse Aide I Registry. -High school graduate or GED required -BLS certification through the American Heart Association -Previous experience as nursing assistant in hospital setting is preferred, not required. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: -Excellent customer service skills -Demonstrates tact, versatility, and dependability -High degree of self-motivation and directional initiative -Positive attitude, demeanor and an effective team member -Ability to work at a rapid pace with numerous interruptions -Performs skills and competencies as defined in orientation checklist and annual departmental competency checklist if applicable -Demonstrates and maintains competencies specific to patient population served WE VALUE CUSTOMER SERVICE: -Responsible for driving the SHCS culture through values and customer service standards -Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers -Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication -Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner

Echo Tech Job Summary + Will be responsible for conducting cardiac ultrasounds on adult patients utilizing 2D echocardiography, M-mode, and echocardiography with color flow/doppler. + Will be responsible for collecting and evaluating clinical data while recognizing and reporting life-threatening findings in a timely manner to physician. Echo Tech Qualifications The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this position: + Associate degree or Higher level + ACLS and BLS certification required + Formal Training in Diagnostic Cardiac Ultrasound/Cardiovascular Technology required + At least 1 year of echo experience required + Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer RDCS (OR) Registered Cardiac Sonographer RCS required
