ADA Compliance Representative

Your job is to work with retailers to maintain accessible features by verifying, encouraging, and reporting retailer compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Responsibilities: Performs inspections by completing an Americans with Disabilities Act checklist; surveying properties; provides photographs to verify inspection data; verifies trade styles; computer entry of data; sends/relays information to server for processingPrepares locations for travel and inspection by routing the locations to visit from a master store list by county utilizing Garmin GPS, Apple maps, and map readingConsults with retailers for resolving non-compliance issues and recommending a course of action for compliance; Educates members of the sales team and retailers on the purpose of the Americans with Disability Act; Provides ADA material, placing signs, mark dimensions for parking, ramps, sign heights, and explains the purpose for correctionsConducts administrative duties such as scheduling vehicle inspections and maintenance; maintaining monthly mileage logs; creating correspondence; and completing expense reportsResponsible for finding and booking lodging for overnight stays while inspecting retailers away from home base area Requirements: Some college education and 1 year of experienceKnowledge of the requirements for American Disability Act and how to apply those requirements to retailer establishmentsAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writingProficient in Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OutlookSkills for compiling and recording dataGood mathematical skillsStrong Customer Service skills Hiring Rate: $46,434 (this exempt position will be filled at or near the posted salary) Closing Date: August 11, 2024 All employees must reside in NC About the North Carolina Education LotteryWe raise money for a great cause!
