OVERVIEW:
Responsibilities include safely and efficiently loading/unloading customers’ vehicles and incoming freight deliveries, handling lumber and building materials, picking orders, stocking and counting inventory, and assisting with deliveries as needed. Building material knowledge is a plus; basic math skills are required, and one must be able to complete forklift certification.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Safely drive and operate a forklift, including loading, unloading, and stocking building materials with a forklift.
Load and unload building materials, which require bending, pushing, and pulling items that weigh up to 100 lbs.
Learn to identify numerous building products and their locations.
Gather, organize, and accurately build orders for delivery or pick up using pick tickets and a forklift.
Learn all yard and warehouse-related processes and procedures.
Complete and maintain various paperwork.
Load and unload customer vehicles by hand/forklift.
Ride with truck drivers to assist in making deliveries as needed.
Report to work on time and be dressed according to company policy.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Other tasks as assigned by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The physical environment requires the employee to work inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
