Description:
Our company is looking for a skilled construction carpenter. The position includes physical labor in both commercial and residential using hand/power tools.
The position also requires:
- Demo
- Plumbing: tub kit installation, setting toilets, setting faucets, etc
- Electrical: switching outlets/switches, installation of light fixtures, installation of exhaust fans, etc
-Carpentry: installing doors, windows, floors, mirrors, cabinets, baseboard, etc
Currently our company completes rehab work on existing structures both commercial and residential. We are looking for someone who has an understanding of the areas listed above. We do not require that you be a pro in electric or plumbing but we do expect that you have a basic understanding. We do require that applicants be well versed in the demo and carpentry aspects as we will expect you to be ready to start on our current jobs.
Below is a list based on current & previous jobs of the task you may be asked to complete:
Tasks (Vary on job):
-Demo/clean job site to prepare for scope of work to be completed.
-Remove existing fixtures by using hand/power tools of all types.
-Constructing/installation of new fixtures based on scope of work.
-Load/unload of building materials & deliver them to correct on site locations.
-Measure/record openings or distances of where construction work will be performed.
-Proper removal & install of new plumbing fixtures (valves, tub, shower, toilets, faucets, etc.)
-Proper removal & install of cabinets in both kitchen & bathrooms.
-Proper removal & install of interior & exterior doors.
-Removal of all debris & cleaning site upon completion of work.
Qualification & Requirements:
-High School diploma or equivalent
-Valid drivers license & social security card
-Reliable transportation to & from work
-Hand/power tools
-Advanced knowledge of carpentry
-Basic understanding of plumbing & electrical
-Ability to handle physical demand of position
-Superior communication skills with customers & team members
-Willingness to work and learn new skills
