Description:

The Maintenance Technician will perform preventative maintenance and repairs for all ASNC owned and leased properties and those properties where ASNC runs programs. This position will require statewide travel and is responsible for repairs on vehicles, tools, facilities and grounds. The Maintenance Technician will be required to maintain and update maintenance logs, Help Desk tickets and schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Perform preventative maintenance and repairs for all ASNC owned and leased properties.

-Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all vehicles, tools, facilities and grounds. Record activity in maintenance logs.

-Monitors the maintenance and up-keep of all mechanical equipment at the facilities, including, but not limited to water heaters, HVAC units etc.

-Conduct an annual electrical inspection of all ASNC owned facilities.

-Conduct periodic Facility Walk-throughs of all facilities.

-Purchase maintenance supplies and properly code all receipts and turn in on a weekly basis to the Property Management office, and follow appropriate approval procedures

-Maintain the assigned work truck/van to include keeping it stocked with supplies and organized; regular maintenance and inspections; track and code WEX card receipts for and turn in on a weekly basis to the Property Management office.

-Respond to and answer Property Management Help Desk tickets in a timely and professional manner.

-Recommend the repair or replacement of any interior and/or exterior areas.

-Provide recommendations to the Director of Property & Facilities for annual budget preparation.

-Participate in all assigned trainings and staff meetings.

-Work with vendors, suppliers and service providers.

-Project management skills/ ability to resolve and manage complex problems and issues.

-On call as needed. Respond to emergencies during and after hours, to include leaks, inclement weather, fire, theft and vandalism.

-Develop and maintain an effective, positive working relationship with participants, staff, volunteers, community members, inspectors and local vendors.

-Travel statewide.

-Perform other duties as required in support of ASNC's mission.

-Act decisively and professionally in responding to, evaluating and handling problems.

Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree from 2 year college/tech school and/or 2 years of experience/training preferred. Previous experience in several trades to include carpentry, general construction, heating and air conditioning, interior and exterior painting, fencing, plumbing and electrical and mechanical systems.
