Property Maintenance Technician Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, motivated individual to join our property management company as a Property Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will address common maintenance issues across multiple properties, performing repairs and installations. Candidate must be able to evaluate multiple issues such as; electrical, plumbing, and heating. Our ideal candidate has several years of professional experience in property management and maintenance, along with reliable transportation and a flexible schedule to respond to emergencies on call.
Property Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine and scheduled maintenance across multiple properties
Perform repairs, installations of fixtures and appliances, and replacement of damaged systems
Diagnose and repair problems with building heat, electricity, water systems, & septic systems
On-call to respond to emergency issues on scheduled nights & weekends
Performs skilled and unskilled construction and repair work to buildings and homes.
Perform maintenance tasks related to removal of trash, brush and debris from homes and lawn.
Mows grass, weed eat, remove pine straw, sticks and pine cones
Performs other related duties such as removing hot water heater, blowing out septic lines, locating water leaks and repairs
Property Maintenance Technician Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED certificate
Vocational or trade school certification preferred (not required)
Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing and septic systems
Physical ability to bend, crouch, crawl under homes, not afraid of heights, and lift objects throughout the workday
General knowledge of dry wall, painting and trim repair
General knowledge of the use of common hand and specialized power tools required in the work such as chainsaw, skill-saw and drills
Skilled in the use of vehicles and equipment such as dump truck, zero-turn mower, tractor with bush-hog, and weed eater
Ability to follow instructions; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates
Special Requirement
Must have a valid North Carolina Driver’s License
